18-22) Baia's wife slew her virtuous step-daughter Dunod, and then disappeared. Baia sought revenge again, but fire fell on his house and he died. After God had destroyed David's enemies, the saint established his famous monastery. the monks took the yoke on their shoulders to draw the plough without oxen. They worked with spades and shovels, hoe and saw, and provided all their needs. They despised wealth, working quietly and prayerfully.
