The fun stuff We've got two great events we'd love to see you at this summer. Our annual new music showcase 'Army of You' on July 1st at Cargo will feature the Invisible, Friendly Fires and O.children. There'll be a BBQ and some acoustic acts in the garden too. On 27th July at the Royal Festival Hall, Al Murray will host 'The Pub Landlord's Southbank Jukebox' - a unique night of British comedy and music. He'll be joined by Jason Manford - one of the country's biggest comedy stars. The music will come courtesy of Madness and another top music act will also be announced on the bill soon. All profits from both events help fund our vital work protecting children from the horrific effects of war. Coming along is a great way of supporting War Child whilst having a great night out too! The serious stuff A Westminster Policy Forum Meeting doesn't sound quite as much fun as a lock-in at Al Murray's pub does it? But it's really exciting to us because it gives us a chance to influence the new government's policies and strategy. We're staging a meeting with Andrew Mitchell MP - the new Secretary of State for International Development and Radhika Coomaraswamy from the United Nations. We want to start a healthy debate between the government, policy-makers, academics and other charities about making sure that the UK's international aid is meeting the rights and needs of marginalised children in conflict-affected countries.
