This Morning 5am

Two things: 1) this morning I broke through a psychological barrier; normally if I woke up at a time I considered too early, I would go back to sleep and not get out of bed until having satisfied myself that my sleeping hours were done relative to my working day due to my long and late hours 7/7. I woke and got out of bed at 5 o'clock realizing that my hours no longer have any boundaries, I have no restrictions, I can get up and go to bed at any time I like without fear of becoming tired too early. There is no early as there is no late except for my being ready for the taxi and the subsequent infrequent hospital consultations.

Secondly, I picked up my 'Merthyr Historian' Vol. Eight to carry on where I left off and to my pleasant surprise on page 219 I came across a marvellous short autobiography of a native of Abercanaid, Merthyr by the name of Edward Rhys-Price recounting his many extraordinary adventures in depression hit Canada, the USA and on the sea. Haven't finished it yet but it did rather jump out on me these adventures in mainly New York in what is supposed to be the history of Merthyr. I reiterate, a very pleasant surprise.
